05

My mind bleeds to retrieve fragments of our past rendezvous
(but you forever will stand present in the cracked surface of my thoughts)
There are chips missing in this dream I'm trying (so hard) to recall
Lost somewhere between the forlorn spaces that set fading stars apart
(because you've stolen the light from their shining vision)
You are the wonder that places them a far
And right as the morning greets us (satirically) without notice
Ice melting off our adamant carcasses to arise
The answer to my speculations (of where the shadows go to rest)
Lie beneath your tired black eyes
